Aliona Adrianova

Aliona Adrianova is a portrait photographer based in London.

Educated as an economist in Kiev, and having pursued an early career in finance in London, Aliona quickly discovered her true personality and calling as an artist. after graduating from art school she developed a strong interest in photography, engaging particularly with the idea of an enduring quest for absolute truth in the photographic record of the sitter.

Recent work includes a project portraying contemporary artists in the setting of their studios. here, the photographer sets out not only to capture the true personae of the artists as authors of their own works, but also to invoke their special affinity with art, beauty and the creative process.

In April 2016 Aliona was honoured to be invited to Rome as official photographer for the ‘Globe to Globe’ tour’s performance of Hamlet at the Vatican. this historic event formed part of The Globe theatre’s celebrations marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death by staging his most celebrated play in every country of the world.

Aliona’s work has appeared in numerous publications, including Tatler, Vanity Fair, Condé Nast Traveller, Country Life, Forbes, the Sunday Times, Observer Magazine, the Telegraph, the Independent, Panorama Icon, Vision, National Geographic Channels International and many others.

Her debut solo exhibition took place at Linley in 2012.
